Lewisham Borough Community Football Club, known as Boro, formed in 2003. Since then we've grown from a newly merged club into an established member of the Southern Counties East Football League First Division.
Lewisham Borough formed in 2003, when three local clubs merged: Elms FC, Moonshot FC and Ten Em Bee FC. The aim was to combine their resources and build a senior club that could represent Lewisham at a higher level.
Ray Simpson, George Davis, Joe Collymore and the late Clinton Rhule founded the club.
Boro's first season was a strong one. We won Kent County League Division One West and were promoted to the Premier Division. Two seasons later, in 2005–06, we were Premier Division champions, though ground grading requirements meant we didn't gain promotion that year.
The club was a founder member of the Kent Invicta League in 2011. This took Borough into Step 6 of the National League System. When the Kent Invicta League became part of the Southern Counties East Football League in 2016, Borough continued in SCEFL First Division.
The 2026–27 season is our 11th in a row in SCEFL First Division.
One of our strongest recent seasons was 2023–24. Borough reached the First Division play-offs, losing a dramatic penalty shootout to Larkfield & New Hythe. A week later we beat the same opponents 3–2 to win the SCEFL Division One Cup.
