13 Dec – Match report: Boro vs Bridon Ropes

December 21, 2025

Boro were forced to settle for a point after conceding a stoppage-time equaliser in a 2–2 draw away to Bridon Ropes in the Southern Counties East League First Division.

Boro made an excellent start and took control of the contest during a strong first-half showing. The opening goal arrived in the 41st minute when Andrea Carrera finished well to give the visitors a deserved lead.

Momentum stayed firmly with Boro, and that advantage was doubled deep into first-half stoppage time. Sineen Sineen struck in the 45+5 minute to send Boro into the break two goals to the good, capping an impressive and disciplined opening 45 minutes.

After half-time, the hosts looked to increase the pressure and reduced the deficit in the 70th minute. Boro remained organised and worked hard to protect their lead as the game entered its closing stages, making changes to maintain energy and shape.

Despite those efforts, Bridon Ropes found a late equaliser in stoppage time, scoring in the 90+4 minute to deny Boro all three points.

While the late goal was a disappointment, there were clear positives to take from the performance, particularly a confident first-half display and attacking threat on the road. Boro will now look to build on that showing as attention turns to the next fixture.
